Hello Brothers!

First of all I wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into this!

I am using TheocBase in german and it works good. Now I tried to use it in low german but I can not import the Workbook. I always get this error: Import failed (unacknowledged data)

Tested it with the April and May Workbook in low german - It works with the english one.

Thanks for your help!

Have a nice day =)

Copy (not move!) file from TheocBase - Template folder (C - Program Files - Theocbase) to desktop or anywhere convenient.

Change name but do not remove the MW part from it!

Make modifications and put back into template folder. You will need to give administrator rights (probably) to do that. I have worked out something for you. Find it attached and see if it works the way you want. Only thing you need to change is the words for Chaiman - Bible Study conductor and Reader, as I am not sure how you name those. Rest I took from the LWX mwb.

You cannot open the file with Word or with a browser. Well you can, but... Use Brackets (for all platforms) or Notepad++

The alarm did go off, but....

Anyway, here's the file.

Extract the attachment somewhere temporarily.

* After that, open up Theocbase and go to Settings.
* Click on "Run Special Command"
* In the dialog box, navigate to the txt file and "open" it.
* Restart Theocbase and you should be able to load the workbooks.

I will try and get you the ability to import epubs this week.  I've got an alarm set for Friday just in case I forget!

There are a few things:

Unfortunately I am not on the developer team, I am just a user. I will send a PM to Kurtis or Juha, for them to put Low German on the translate list, and tell them they may contact you.

As for the meeting items: you do not have to edit that: it will not be displayed on the schedule. It only has internal working (like you cannot assign an assistant to a Living as Christians item, and you cannot assign lesson 35 to Bible Reading for example). What will be displayed on the Schedule, is what in English is under "theme".

What will be displayed on the Schedule in the wrong way, are the standard words, like Song, Prayer, Introduction, Conclusion, Chairman, Reader, Study Conductor PLUS the section titles.

You can solve this by editing the schedule in a good html editor (like Brackets or Notepad++). Right now these words are retrieved from the specific language file by using the placeholdes !SONG!, !PRAYER! etc, but you can hardcode the Low German terms into the file by replacing the placeholders with the actual words you need. I would suggest you copy the Schedule html file and rename it by including in the file name. So you can always recognise it. Then if ever Low German will be officially supported, you can start using the original html.

If you need help, do not hesitate to get back here.

[I saw for July, there is no epub. For the automatic import into TheocBase you would need epub]

Is this the first time you use TheocBase for Low German, or have you been using it before with this language? I'd guess this is the first time

If I check the database, I see no language defnition for Low German, that may be the reason. But it would not be a valid reason, if it was working before. (Attached to the language is also some information about language specific layout (like how dates (day and months) are represented, which is usually the problem). That info missing, an import will fail.)

I thought I'd trick TheocBase into believing it is German (changing the name of the file from mwb_LWX_201706 to mwb_X_201706 and given that date representation in LWX is similar to X), but that did NOT work, unfortunately...

Until a solution is found, you will have to enter the data manually... Not  nice, but sure to work. [Settings - Life and Ministry Meeting - Schedule(2nd tab) - next to the top box click the + sign and choose a date - then in the bottom box fill out the assignments and material. Delete superfluous rows.
