I'm not able to import data from CLM Explorer (formerly TMS Explorer). When I try to import the Students.csv file I exported from CLM Explorer, I get the following error message: "The header row of CSV file is not valid."

I'm running the Mac OS X version of TheocBase. Thanks!

Would you mind sending the file to me privately?

Joe,

Could you send me a file so I can see what has changed in their format?

I'm also not able to import data from CLM Explorer and get the error message: "The header row of CSV file is not valid."
Thank you for the support!

theocbase expects the Student file header to be

FULL NAME

STUDY#

DATE ASSIGNED

DATE COMPLETE

EXERCISES COMPLETED

If you conform your data to that, it may work

Hi Kurtis, thanks for your hard work. I´m sorry, but also that fiels don´t works. For example, there wasn´t a field like "servant". In TMS is it "role". Also the ranking is not the same. I changed the ranking like your purpose and rename the fields. But it didn´t worked. Another idea? Jürgen

I suppose the real solution is for one of us developers to install the program to see what the latest outputs look like so we can adapt theocbase to it.

DarioJ,

In your header line, SERVANT was spelled SERVENT instead. I changed it, and it imported.

However, it also needed to be saved as "UTF-8". The steps to do that:

* Open "Notepad"

* Use Notepad to open your students file

* Fix the spelling error

* Save as, and pick "UTF-8" as the Encoding

Also, the Import code is really built for (a) English and (b) the old TMS school. So when everyone is imported, you will have to view/change the Gender and talks they are allowed.

I am having the same problem. I edited the CSV file with the fields you noted and saved as UTF-8, however I still get the error. Could you help?
