help printing s-89 slips

Hi everyone,

I just started using this program and it works great, thanks.

I am having a couple issues with the midweek meeting slips.

Issue 1: I followed the direction for importing the s-89. When i next go to print it says importing, which looks right. but then when its completed and i click "assignment Slips" the program just thinks (spinning wheel) forever and never moves on or allows actual printing. the template folder has all the pdfs and converted jpgs, looks right. the worksheets and regular schedule printing options work fine. Any ideas what to try?

Issue 2: some counsel points dont post to the workbook, instead the text "please consult your Ministry school book" appears in the counsel point slot. I checked and the counsel point is assigned it just isnt showiing in some random peoples assignments.

1. Try removing the pdf's from the template folder. If that does not work, you could try converting the pdf to jpg externally (on pdf2jpg.net, choose highest quality). But first try removing the pdf, they might just be in the way.

2. This happens if a person still has a pending assignment, or more accurately: a counsel point that has not been finished. This often happens if the individual has an assignment in the current month on a date afte you make your assignments for the following month.

Ok I tried
1. removing the pdfs. No change still just thinks and thinks.
2. Then I removed everything and just put back in the 4up pdf. The file Reimported well but then still locks up.
3. tried Removing the pdf once more. Still just spins and spins.
4. converted the pdf to jpg using another program and then deleted all the files in my template folder but this new one. theocbase recognized it but still spins and spins
5. tried the same thing at a slightly lower resolution since the previous file was quite high res. no change.

any other ideas?

Comment or post, it doesn't matter much.

You got me here, though. You're on a Mac, or Windows?

I downloaded the Chinese S-89 4 up, and converted it to jpg, outside TB. Put it in the template folder and works like a charm. Oops! Frustrating if error is not repeatable. OK, that is on a professional Win10. I would have to check if it works at home on my good old Win7.

(Using Windows 7, your jpg or copies of them, might also be stored in the Virtual Store under C - Users - (you) - AppData - Local - Virtual Store - ProgramFiles(x86) - TheocBase. You can alternatively reach that folder by clicking Compatibility files on top of the explorer window if in the template folder. If there are any, those might be in the way).

I know that sometimes for different branches, different versions of the S-89 are in use across the same language. Not being in Italy, "our" italian s-89 works definitely better than theirs...

So I include my form. Just to be sure, I do the Simplified Chinese one too. Thinking of it, if you do the conversion externally it may change the name of the file, which you then have to recorrrect. Anyway, remove every s-89 you have from your template folder and from the Virtual store if applicable.. (store them somewhere so they do not get lost)

Unzip the files attached and put the jpg into the template folder. See if it works.

Bro you made my day,

I deleted the previous version from the main program templates folder and started fresh by putting this copy in the custom templates folder and letting it import again. Worked great.

I noticed that if I dont have an assigned week selected the preview will appear blank. I just say this in case someone else later has this issue. Try selecting an already assigned month and evertything appears beautifully. Thank you so much.

Phew! Glad it worked. I'll take the zips off later, since this site is publicly accessible. So store them somewhere. Or PM me later.

Ok right now i found how to import. But my swedish s-89 also "frezes" when imported. Do you have a version in swedish that works to import?

Greetings Bruno
