Hello,

how can I change talk types?

The talk types are predefined, by app. But maybe I can change a file in Theocbase installation or the sql database?

The reason is, with beginning October in german signlanguage congregations the naming of the talkt types will be change.

Initial Talk --> Erstes Gespräch (First Talk)

First return talk --> Zweites Gespräch (second talk)

second return talk --> drittes Gespräch (3rd talk)

3rd return talk --> viertes Gespräch (4rd talk)

Thanks for your advice.

Greetings

Uwe

To be sure first back up theocbase.sqlite.

Then in that database find the 'settings' table, and see if you can redefine the talk types in the 'name' column. I have not time right now to try (getting ready for our regional assembly in Gelsenkirchen this weekend ;) ), so I cannot guarantee.

Please try, and report back here. If it doesn't work, i'll check after the weekend.

For accessing the database my personal preference is http://sqlitebrowser.org/

For editing templates I like to use http://brackets.io/

Thanks Mark for your help.

But it would not work.

Maybe I'm not in the correct table.

So you made the changes in yellow, then saved the database. But then on opening TB, it didn't work. Right?

It doesn't work at all? Or what do you see? And what do you see under Settings/LMM Meeting/Schedule tab if you use this?

I also notice, there is no german sign language epub available. Trying to change this table, is probably not very helpful if nothing can't be imported.

Hmm, quite a puzzle...
