### Update 14/02/2019 An updated version of this workaround for the 2020 Memorial can be found here.###

### Update 17/02/2019 Please note this workaround was written before version 2019.1.0 was released with a patch to address this issue. If you have upgraded to 2019.1.0 before importing the April 2019 workbook, the below instructions should not be required and could in fact cause problems if you try to apply them.###

The April 2019 workbook omits the week of April 15-21 due to this year's Memorial falling on the midweek. What this means for Theocbase is that it will only see 4 weeks instead of 5 when importing the workbook, and the final two weeks (April 22-28 and April 29-May 5) will be a week early.

The following steps helped me correct this:

1. Backup the Database (just in case)

2. Import the April 2019 Workbook

3. Find the Database location (in Settings), and then close Theocbase

4. Open the Database (whether with DB Browser for SQLite or whatever one you prefer) and edit as described below in each of the following tables:

     lmm_meeting | lmm_schedule | lmm_schedule_assist

     a. find all entries (should be 8) with the date 2019-04-22 and change these to 2019-04-29 (hit apply on each change)

     b. find all entries (should be 8) with the date 2019-04-15 and change these to 2019-04-22 (hit apply on each change)

     c. make sure all the changes have been written (in DB Browser, select Write Changes) and then close the Database

5. Restart Theocbase

6. Enter the appropriate Exception for the midweek of April 15-22

This fixed it on my end, hopefully it will for you too. If anyone has a quicke/better solution, please let us know :)

Great, found out the same thing. No, no faster solution except: as a suggestion, from the field where you would normally hit 'Apply', you can copy (Ctrl+C) the correct value once, and then paste (Ctrl+V) them right into the cells in the table on the left. At least in DB Browser you can. This will stick immediately and save you a lot of clicking and typing.
For all who read this, follow Adam's instructions and do not try to be clever and change April 15 first: it will be confusing. First do a. then do b.
I followed the instructions specifically and all of the information was correct except for one thing, the Week Starting April 29, 2019 disappeared. I will wait for an update that addresses this issue. Thank you anyway.

@Steven, if both Adam and I did not lose anythin, then either you did something wrong, or maybe you omitted a step. There isn't a bit chance this will be updated soon.

Sorry typo: bit>big
When it says "Close the database" does that mean quit DB Browser? I am using TheocBase for Mac so I am not sure if that would impact anything. I tried following the instructions twice and had the same results. I have a backup of theocbase.sqlite, I will try to replace my existing theocbase.sqlite with my backup and try a third time. April is four months away so not a big rush. Thank you.

Dear Brothers,

I know this problem is solved for some brothers, but I personally tried this method and I did not manage to solve it, I followed the steps that are described and modify my data in SQLite as it appears in the post

      a. Find all entries (should be 8) with the date 2019-04-22 and change these to 2019-04-29 (hit apply on each change)

      b. Find all entries (should be 8) with the date 2019-04-15 and change these to 2019-04-22 (hit apply on each change) and I followed the step

c. Make sure all changes have been written (in DB Browser, select Write Changes) and then close the Database

But when I opened the database, nothing changed

date of April 22, 2019 is also on data 2019-04-15

date of April 29, 2019 is still on data 2019-04-22

date of 29-04-2019 is empty.

Please, if you can give me some advice on what I can do.

Thousands of thanks

Budar, if you'd like, you can PM me and send me that database. I'll be glad to take a look.
In case anyone else runs into that same issue, the key is to make sure you make the needed changes to all three (3) tables on the sql database:
1. lmm_schedule,
2. lmm_meeting, AND
3. lmm_schedule assist.

Don't forget to set an exception for the memorial, and then you are all set!

Just to clearify how many entries you need to edit, per week your editing:

There is -1- entry that needs to be changed in the table "lmm_meeting".
There is -8- entries that needs to be changed in the table "lmm_schedule".
There is -8- entries that needs to be changed in the table "lmm_schedule_assist".

If you use "DB Browser for Sqlite", you find these tables under "Browse data".

Excellent work, Marc. As allways.

Thank you so much... For German workbook it worked fine. I had more than 8 dates to change, but at the end it worked.

Brothers,

I need help on this still please. I have followed all the instructions above. EVERYTHING works EXCEPT nothing shows up for me for the date of the 29th. It just says to import the schedule. I have verified all the dates are correct. The only place I do not have anything listed to make any changes is one

There is -8- entries that needs to be changed in the table "lmm_schedule_assist".

When I go into the database for this it is empty. However all the other dates that I changed moved corretly without me doing anything in this file.

Please Advise

Your Brother

Joseph S.

Are you saying the entire lmm_schedule_assist table is empty, or just nothing for April? If you wouldn't mind sending some screenshots of each of the 3 tables, that will make helping much easier.

I posted below. The first screen shot shows how that one file is empty. Nothing shows in it at all.

@Adam, I also think I saw 2019.01.0 does not add any new info to existing lmm_schedule_assist.

I wonder if this does affect moving the Memorial week info.

You will probably have to zip up the screenshots and post them as attachment.

Please note this workaround was written before version 2019.1.0 was released with a patch to address this issue. If you have upgraded to 2019.1.0 before importing the April 2019 workbook, this workaround should not be required and could in fact cause problems if you try to apply it. I have amended the original post to reflect this caution.

Sidenote: I’m not on the development team; I base my comments solely on that the April workbook import issue was included in the list of bug fixes for 2019.01.0.

I’ll see if I can recreate the issue on my end and if these instructions will still work with 2019.01.0. Marc noted that the lmm_schedule_assist table may (*may*) no longer be used from 2019.01.0 onward, so it may be possible to omit that part. But unless the new version is using different database tables to populate the schedule, it’s hard to see how this problem is still around.

If any of the developers see this, they will certainly be able to provide some guidance for us.

Last time I imported workbook for someone in latest version, TB put them all on the correct date, so bug appears to be actually fixed.

Joseph's issue is not clear to me. We are waiting for the screenshots. Site is behaving weirdly around attachments, I think.

@Marc - agreed. I wiped my existing April schedule (after backuping the DB ;) ) and re-imported the April workbook - worked perfectly.

If anyone else is having trouble (missing weeks for eg.) with April, you need to check that you are actually running version 2019.01.0. If not, update Theocbase first then try again.

If you are still having trouble after that, it will likely be for reasons other than what this workaround originally addressed. Rather than trying this fix, better to submit a new topic (or search for the now several ones popping up and see what is suggested).

Sorry, for my english. I have not read all the comments, but this is my simple solutions (suggested by my brother):

1) Open Theocbase, select and delete all the April 2019 workbook.

2) Now insert exception in from the week from 15 to 21 april 2019.

3) Now import again the new April 2019 Workbook and the error is out.

Where is the DB Location in settings?

Please help...

Hi Tom,

There's a few things with your situation:

1) Your version of Theocbase is way out of date - the current version is 2019.12.0. First thing I would do is update Theocbase itself.

2) This post was for last year's Memorial. I have updated the workaround for this year and it is found if you click here.

A lot of us use DB Browser for SQ Lite (link). It is free and will do everything you need to do with the Theocbase database.

And you're right - the fix you were trying to use (as outlined in Bolzano's post) does not work (see Marc's response after this that explains it more). Try the workaround (used by myself, also verified by Marc and others) - as per the link in item 2 above.

Thanks!

DB Browser for sqlite is at sqlitebrowser.org, and it is free, and available for all platforms. (A lot of references to that site in various comments above!)
