Is there a way to reset the access rights for TheocBase?  I need to set my own account as the administrator, the old one is not available.

Thank you.

I am not sure what the status of your access control is right now or what you mean by the 'old one'.  Normally access control would be visible in Settings, and you'd also be able to edit its settings there (tick or untick Administrator). Also the answer to your question may somewhat depend on whether you use TB alone or shared with others.

I am not sure why you cannot tick the Administrator Box in your case.

2 scenario's

One: if access control is not accessible at all: find the database location (button 'open database location' in Settings). Once you are there, first close Theocbase.

Then remove the access_control.json file (or temporarily move it elsewhere, in case you need it later). If you use Dropbox, remove the same file from the theocbase folder as well.

If you restart TB now, it will not find the access_control.json file and create a new one for you. Access control will then be properly accessible.

Two: 'old one' means the person that used to be the administrator is not available anymore. I wouldn't have a clean answer to that one right now, just some idea's about how to go about that. But let's not go there unless you can confirm this is your actual situation.

For accessing the database my personal preference is http://sqlitebrowser.org/

For editing templates I now use https://code.visualstudio.com/
