Dear friends,

I can not do any changes in the schedule anymore.

The programm does not allow me to enter into the section (for exemple to change the chairman).

And in the schedule for July there are for two weeks the same parts (see screenshots)

What can be done?

Would be great to get a solution, please!

Many greetings from Guinea

Christoph

No access to schedule or persons is edited in the access_control file. Tick a few extra boxes maybe.

Check Settings - LMM Meeting - Schedule tab (2019) if you see some weeks twice in schedule top box. And in the main screen (the ones you took the 2 screenshots from) check if the info for the week of 22/7 has moved also, perhaps to 29/7, or is it just gone?

Marc, could you provide a bit more explanation to the following: "No access to schedule or persons is edited in the access_control file. Tick a few extra boxes maybe."

Clicking the pen icon next to the meeting parts brings up the dialog box on the side, but I can not make any edits there.

There should be a comma after No...

Almost all questions that begin with 'I cannot....' are solved by setting Access Control correctly in Settings.

Do that first

Thanks Marc, but that's actually my question. Where are the "Access Control" settings? Where do I find them? I explored every page in the "Settings" dialog and didn't see anything with that title.

Nathanael,

I was under the assumption somehow that your situation was similar to the one of the topic starter. If you look at the most right picture (1.jpg) that the topic starter posted, in the Settings page you see 3 entries (in his case), one of which has a key symbol. That is what you are looking for. If you don't see this, there are 2 possibilities:

1. If TB was shared with you by someone else in the congregation, you would have to ask the one with Administrator role to add privileges to you. Depending on what you want to do (you didn't specify), one single role may not be sufficient for you (for a description of the roles see the Help function). After that you may still not be able to see the Access Control funciton, but at least you can work.

2. If you are the only one using TB and you do not have access to TB, in TB go to Settings-General, and click 'Open database location'. Close TB now (!!) and in the database location remove (or rename) the access_control.json file. Do NOT change anything about the theocbase.sqlite file, since this is your database. Also in Dropbox go to the TheocBase folder. Also here remove (or rename) access_control.json, but do NOT change the syncfile.json.

After both access_control.json files are deleted, restart TB. It should work now.

Hi Brothers,

I am having a problem along the same lines as the Original Post. I cannot modify the schedule. The dropdown box does not open to select the brother/sister for the assignment.

I am using TheocBase in MacOs. There is no indication of user roles. Password was entered. Single, Local TB database. I cannot locate the access_control.json file. I only have the theocbase.sqlite in the folder.

Thanks for all the hard work.

OK, there is no access_control.json file. Do you see the menu entry Access Control in the Settings Page at all? (the last one after General, Exceptions, LMM meeting, Public Talks, Songs, Reminder, Access Control)

Hi Marc,

Thanks for breaking your head. I played around with the system. It seems to work now.

Sorry for the headache.
