Is there a placeholder for the telephone number of the public talk brother ? It would be useful for the brothers who are contacting him in the week before the talk. Is it possible to find the standard templates eg. the list of public talks so you can edit it, eg. add telephone number?

Hi Mikael, sorry, I don't know the placeholder, but you may find the templates in the folder like this "C:\Programm\theocbase\templates" you may copy the List you want to change and in the copy you may try it. Possibly it is something like "!PT_CONGRETATION_PHONE!"

Hi Mikael, in the template OS-Slips you find the placeholders PT_CONGREGATION CONGREGATION_ADDRESS PT_NO and I can imagine CONGREGATION_INFO should work too (as there is a field "info" in the database) If you put the Tel-No into the "info"-Field of the congregation it should show in that placeholder. Please try and report about the result.

Hi Jürgen I found the templates and guessed :-) The placeholder i was looking for was PT_SPEAKER_PHONE In the template "2016_WE_HANDOUT" i replaced the column with the vt study information (he is the same every week) with a phone number column of the speaker. Now the chairman in the weekend can contact the speaker to be sure he is coming. I looked at the placeholder CONGREGATION_INFO but it doesn't seem to be valid. Could be useful for the phone number to the congregation you're going to speak in

I am trying to add the talk number to the public talk schedule. I have tried using the placeholder !PT_NO! but the column is blank.

I note that placeholder is in the 2016-OS-slips.htm file. Perhaps it only prints the number of the outgoing talk?

You are adding it to which template??

As an uninvited comment I'd like to say I personally do not like it when talk schedules on announcement boards include talk numbers. In my view it greatly transforms a superb teaching programme into a list of numbers that need to be ticked... If anyone looking at the schedule guesses what those numbers mean at all. On the other hand, using talk numbers on the organisational side is a great help of course.

Anyway, you may find some clues in the 2017-COMBINATION.htm template in lines 361 (which is the local congregation schedule and where talk number is not used)  and lines 424 , 425 and 435/440 for the outgoing schedule, which does have talk numbers. I have not personally tested this, and am still unsure about the !PTCOUNTER! placeholder. This would suggest there is a place where you can switch some option on and off.

For accessing the database my personal preference is http://sqlitebrowser.org/

For editing templates I like to use http://brackets.io/

Hi everyone - the problem has been solved. the correct placeholder is !PT_NUMBER! and not !PT_NO! to show the talk number

Glad you found it. Makes you wonder what PO_NO does, though. We'll find out some day. I'll report once I do

Hy there,

did you have news about the Placeholders Congregation INFO and Circuit. I placed them into my template. But nothing will fill in. Do you have some Ideas?

Sorry, Circuit and Info aren't there yet.  It's added it to the code now, so it should be available with the next beta. No ETA on that yet, however

Is there any way to determine which classroom the students are in?  Right now I can only print a worksheet that has no indication if it is for the main or auxiliary classroom.

Actually it looks like an academic problem: the only thing you need at a particular meeting is the worksheet for your class.
Each chairman or counsellor knows which day he has which school. So I usually define the entire month in the print dialogue and then, rather than print the worksheets, I choose Save as pdf.
The pdf I send to all chairmen/counsellors. They can print the one page they need out of it, when they need it. They have the entire monthly schedule already, so quite easy.
No need for me to work that out for them.

I am sure, if you want, it is possible to change the templates somehow to include an indication for the class.
It's not just academic, please don't condescend.

The only way to know whether the sheet is for the main or auxiliary classroom is by finding out which students are assigned where, and for that you need to check another schedule. None of the placeholders at the top of this thread indicate the classroom. So what can I include in the template?

Hi Jonathan,

for our congregation I wrote my own template, showing all students of the week on a page, so the chairman can easily find a substitut for first class, if someone is missing. I designed it with some boxes for remarks to give good counsel after the meeting.

But to print it, you have to use it as a schedule. Only in schedules, the placeholders GW3/FM1/FM2/FM3_SPEAKER_A/B/C work properly. But than it's a usefull tool for us.

Couseler and Chairman may print it or fill in a pdf-file. I simply send it to them in the beginning of the month and here we go :-9
