HI,

I want to edit the theme for a talk on the midweek meeting. Actually living as Christians #1 and 2.
I know how it is meant to work as mentioned in this post http://www.theocbase.net/support-forum/editing-schedule.html
It does work for editing the theme for Treasures for God's word, Digging for spiritiual Gems and Bible Reading. However when trying to edit the theme for initial call, return visit, bible study, living as Christians talk #1, #2 it edits a theme higher up the list instead of the one you are trying to edit.

I have noticed that myself, and then thought I did not see it right. But does it consistently do so? Usually I got it right on 2nd try. You mean you cannot get it done at all, right? What makes it hard, once you have finished changing the appropriate cell content, the programme loses focus (meaning all of a sudden you're looking at quite a different cell, and you have to go back to see what you have done.)

Hi Marc, Thanks for your reply. I believe you did see right and I believe it consistently does it. I have not been able to get it to work even on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. As I said the first 3 parts are fine but after that it goes crazy. It does make an adjustment but it is in a box higher up - e.g instead of adjusting title of bible study it will adjust the initial call. I know what you mean about losing focus and you have to go back that does make it tricky but I am convinced it is a bug. It seems if you alter source material it may be ok but definitely if you alter Title and possibly even meeting item it does not work. The reason I need to alter title is we wan to have a part we will miss during assembly week on the week following so it is different to the epub. I am running the 2016.03.1 windows version as well if that helps.

Before I wrote the other comment I tried changing both title and source. Though tricky, that worked. But I tried CL assignments only. You are not trying to show the video presentations instead, are you? If you are, change the item, not the theme, in the far left of the row. It is a dropdown list. It defaults to 15 minutes, so you will see a time warning. Then remove the 3 talks, using the minus sign next to that box (upper right. Not next to the top box! That'll remove the entire week.) To be sure I tested on a non-assigned item. Don't know if it would make a difference...

Hi Marc, I have tried again and still no joy. Even with a week that has no brothers assigned. I even have problems if I try removing the second Living as Christians talk for example - it deletes the return visit instead even though I definitely had the second living as Christians talk highlighted. I did however notice something interesting just now. It works fine on the first week of the month with only the Bible Reading and Prepare this Month's Presentations. It is only the other weeks it causes a problem No. We are trying to run the part 'learn form the interity of others' from Apr 18th on Apr 25th in place of the 2 talks that week. For now as a work around for the schedule I printed to PDF and just edited the pdf with a text box with same colour background as the schedule and typed the info into that. Then I emailed out the edited pdf and printed that for the notice board. It would be nice however if the program would just let me make the change in the future. Thanks again for your help.

I should be tucking myself in now and get ready for the meeting tomorrow. Just before doing that, I saw your post and found the behaviour is repeatable, but maybe different in different weeks. Now or course, you can access the database directly, via a plugin in Firefox for example. Then when I remove the first item in April 25 and change the second to what it should be directly into the database (you really don't want that) it works, but it removes the entire Heading (Living as Christians, with the sheep). I haven't tried changing the first and removing the second... Will see tomorrow. Of course I am happy you found a workaround for now, but this is definitely a bug.

I am currently on the same problem. We want to show the congregation the topic we will discuss in the 7 minutes , Aktuelles, like current news translated. When changing the topics name or content I edit the cell for this speak and the changes are shown in talk #2 - where you do your revisit. Any ideas how to change the right item?

Happy it works now. Now let's hope we do not have to use it too often:) @Joshua, since you posted this question, if you think it is OK now, you may mark it as solved. @ the team: thanks for the work you keep putting into this.

Hello,

I just read this post hoping to find a solution.

Because with the latest version of TB, I have experienced the issue described in the first message of this discusison.

I'm editing the schedule manually because the program does'not import the Kinyarwanda epub file ( Error No Dates recongnized).

The problem occurs with the 2nd week. For the 1st week it's fine.

Can you help me please ?

Ivan
