Dear Brothers,

I've recently started using Theocbase and really like the features.

I have two issues:

1. When a brother in my congregation shared the syncfile with me no matter what I tried I wasn't able to see the schedule or publisher's name on my mac.  We then tried the same syncfile using my IOS devices and I can see and edit everything without any issues.  Is there a step I've missed to be able to use the desktop version?

2. I want to send out digital versions of the S-89_E to publishers who have assignments. I created a custom template as outlined through another feed on this website but when I try to print I get a box that I've attached to this email.

Could you give me some help with this or a workaround, please?

Many thanks for your help

Gavin

Once you put the S-89 pdf into the custom template folder, you never have to enter that template folder again.

And oh: you cannot change the file name. Once you defined the custom template folder, take the S-89 you downloaded from jw org and put it there. Name has to be exactly as downloaded: Letter S, hyphen, number 89, underscore, then an alphanumerical string, dot pdf

TB will subsequently convert that to a jpg with the same file name. That is what shows up TB's printing dialogue.

If you can't get it done I'll be available in the coming few hours for a screensharing session. Pls download Anydesk from Anydesk.com (don't bother the licenses they offer). You can share your contact details (for whatsapp or text) on my jw org inbox at user name theunissenm

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your help. I've now got TB running on my desktop, but the assignment slips when I go to select the file all the icons are greyed out and TB won't allow me to select them.

Any ideas?

Thanks

a. You have two syncfiles in two similar but not identical paths. I have seen this situation before in my own installation, but TB as far as I understand, stores the data into Apps/TheocBase/syncfile.json. So it is not entirely unexpected to not find the data in the other one.

Somehow if Dropbox just has another folder TheocBase (outside of Apps), that folder will also show up as a sync option, though it shouldn't.

Maybe you can check (possibly by date and time modified?) which syncfile you need, and move the other one out or Dropbox. If that solves it, and you feel you still need the other syncfile somehwere in Dropbox, put it somewhere, where TB cannot 'see' it.

b. The jpg you post does not work for me either and I also get an error that cannot be zoomed. But if I download the English pdf, put it into my custom template folder, go to print in TB, it will do a fresh conversion that works. (remove the old jpg before trying that.)

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply.

I syned the file using dropbox which you can see in the accompanying picture.

I downloaded what I believe to be the latest S-89 from Jw.org, and I can't see the rest of the text on the menu print screen.

Thanks again

Gavin

1. You shared the syncfile? How? You may have done it correctly, but pls give me details.

2. I would at some point perhaps like to see the bits that fell off the picture, but can you make sure you are using the most recent S-89 (check date in bottom left hand corner)
