Share data with other TheocBase users in your congregation

I have a question: Does my assitant also need my theocbase.sqlite file or just the syncfile?

mobile issues can often be solved by logging the mobile app off of Dropbox, then logging on.

Or log off, remove app, and reinstall.

Ola boa tarde irmãos, então queria avisar que nessa versão atual no celular o mesmo não está sincronizando, ele fica dando looping no dropbox. Lá dentro do dorpbox todos estão como pode editar. Os usuarios dentro do dropbox, estão ok no Theocbase. Por exemplo, mesmo que entre no celular com  usuário e senha de administrador, fica dando looping e não aparece a programação conforme está no computador.Abraços a todos.

It is a bit trial and error from here.

Make sure that there is only one TheocBase folder within the Apps folder in Dropbox. I know from experience this is not always the case. To check this, in TheocBase, hover over the cloud symbol, and click the down-arrow next to the path of the shared file. It may be that more than one file is selectable, and the pair of you are not working in the same file. If that is the case, you may go to Dropbox and delete the unwanted file.

To force the situation: delete the syncfile(s) from Dropbox, send (e-mail) your database file to the other brother and let him replace his own with yours (or the other way round if his' is better), and when you are sure both of you have the same database in place locally, you can start syncing. Database can be found in TB Settings under Open Database Location. Do not move or edit the Database when TB is open.

I suppose several things could go wrong in the process, but what I am thinking of first:

You must make sure that when setting up the sharing in Dropbox, you must give 'edit' not 'view' permissions to anyone you share the file with. 

Then any restrictions you want to put on what a user can do, must be set up by (un)ticking the right boxes under Access Control in TheocBase.

(if the other user does not have write permissions on the Dropbox file, then that would be the problem: Dropbox wouldn't allow him to write to that file, so you won't see it)
